Aerial sports attract people. The phenomena of flight, of watching a man launch himself into the sky, is, to say the least, exciting. The recreational aspects of paragliding not only attract viewers to the take offs, landings, high altitude flights and acrobatics but also lure new students to take up the sport every month.
One of the dynamic possibilities of paragliding and PPG as an advertising medium is to be able to offer the wing itself as a banner. This method has shown to be an extremely high profile way for a company to be seen whether on a daily basis or for a specific event.
There are two basic methods for this type of advertising:
1) Adhere the design and/or text needed to the undersurface of the wing. This is an area of appoximately 30 square meters measuring 10 meters by 3 meters (at the widest point). The image to be used is transferred to a plotter which will cut pressure sensitive vinyl to create a proportional reproduction of the logo and/or text. Because of the preparation involved and the intrinsic durability of the material itself we recommend this method for long term advertising campaigns.
2) Free flying banners attached to the PPG. This method works well for larger scale images that are needed only for a short period e.i. events, announcements etc.
