Paramotor (Powered-Paraglider PPG) in Oaxaca, Mexico

The paramotor, powered paraglider (PPG), is essentially a small aircraft engine (usually two stroke) attached to a specially designed harness allowing a paraglider to take off and fly in areas that would otherwise be impossible because of level ground. With a gas fueled engine weighing between 15 and 30 kilos depending on the model, and less than fify meters of running space a paraglider pilot can safely launch and maintain any desired altitude up to approximately 4000 meters MSL for up to two hours. Weather permitting, large distances can be covered without needing to take advantage of thermals or ridge lift to gain height, although, for many sport pilots thermalling with a paramotor has many advantages mainly because you get a second chance to get back in the beloved lift.

paramotor mexicoThe research and technology that is constantly being applied to paramotoring has made this form of flight extrememely accesible and safe for the general public.

Airexplora uses a PAP 1400 CDL and a Fly Products GOLD130 for most of the aerial photography and video projects. The Corsair and Simonini engines have proven to be extremely rugged and dependable motors which can be used in solo and/or tandem flights.
