Sten Maldonado: started to fly in 1994, becoming an instructor in 1998, when he moved to Oaxaca from Valle de Bravo to open an Adventure Tours agency and a Paragliding school. At that time there weren't any pilots or "known" take-off sites in the area. He started to fly under the guidance of Vico and Miguel Gutierrez, and later he took courses with Dixon White, David Bridges and Chris Santacroce.

Salvador Lara: born into free flight in October 1993 in Valle de Bravo. His enthusiasm took him roaming the skies throughout the Mexican Rrepublic and abroad. After developing flying skills and participating in almost all National competitions, he began to learn formally as an apprentice in 1997.

In 1999 he went to live in Los Angeles where he perfected his teaching technique at the Crestline Soaring Society, and continued to teach in a more formal manner. Returning home to Mexico the following year, he started a more competitive stage of development using more advanced equipment.

Since 2004 he's lived in Oaxaca City where he joined the Airexplora team with the idea of continuing to develop and promote the sport, at that time new to Oaxaca. Salvador is in charge of paragliding event organization as well as informal flights, courses, competitions, tours, tandems and commercialization of equipment.

He moves to Colorado in the US every summer (rainy season in Oaxaca), to give tandem flights and to maintain a high level of active flying experience as well as keeping up-to-date with safety practices and regulations of USHPA. He recently gained a Teachers Certificate as a Tandem pilot.

Mark Silverberg: (Founding Member) An ASC rated basic flight instructor (BFI) for powered paragliding. Trained in the U.S. with Airplay, Superfly and Eric Dufour of Fly By Ranch. His enthusiasm for paragliding and his technical abilities with the paramotor have made him a valuable part of Airexplora.
